At iN MOTION aUDIO WE LIKE TO HIGHLIGHT GREAT INFORMATION
Spitfire Audio do a really cool interview feed called comPOSER YOU CAN SIGN UP BY GOING TO THE WEBSITE BELOW.
This covers interviews from sound desiigners, composers, musicians and so on AND WE REALLY LIKE THE CONTENT OFFERED
tHERE IS ONE IN PARTICULAR THAT WE WANTED TO HIGHLIGHT the Pinar Toprak Interview.
we really liked Pinar's dedication to music, she SPENt HER OWN MONEY TO HIRE ORCHESTRAS, LEAVING HER SELF IN TIGHT FINANCIAL POSITIONS TO GET THE SOUND SHE WAS AFTER, THAT'S PASSION AND DEDICATION.
however Pinar ALSO highlightes a major negative of the industry "The double standards towards females" and im sure it doesn't end there either.
pinar felt the need to keep her pregnancies a secret in order to obtain jobs as she felt she wouldn't be hired for a variety of composer roles due to this.
During her second birth she worked back-to-back on nine films and was at a scoring session just 30 hours after giving birth to her son,
Pinar WAS ALSO hired to work on 2017’s Geostorm but was left in nearly $100,000 of debt after she was let go from the project when the studio switched creative teams for the reshoots.
It was really shocking to read her story, but its clear her dedication, passion and skills have got her to the place she wants to be.
The fear thats created in the industry especially towards women is unacceptable and needs to change. I can see that Pinar is making a difference in the audio world however more needs to be done from all.
Pinark has an active role as an advisor for "Reel Change" a new project That funds grants and a mentorship programme for composers from backgrounds that have been marginalised
We welcome change here at In Motion audio and were super excited to see the up and coming talent from different backgrounds
